4 Steps to Have a Powerful Finish to 2017

As October marks the last quarter of 2017 it is time to check in on your goals for the year.  While we may start off the year strong, regardless of where you find yourself now, it is even more important you end powerfully. If you have been an entrepreneur for a while you already know that nothing works out just like you want it and there may be times where you have had to re-evaluate where you are.  You may even need to recalibrate your process, just like your GPS does when you take a wrong turn so that you can tweak and/or adjust along your way.  With this in mind and so that you finish the year powerfully and set yourself up to start 2018 with clarity and into action, you must be willing to evaluate where you are on the way to where you are going.  Here are 4 steps that will help you do that;

1.Evaluate & Get Clear On Your Revenue Goals. Did you meet this year’s revenue goals?  Why or why not?    Nine times out of ten I have found that entrepreneurs will believe for say $20,000 more dollars to come in every month but they do not necessary make a plan that will meet that goal. Now is the time to look at if you made the plan that was possible for you to obtain your goal and why or why not you were able to achieve it.

2.Learn the Lesson. If you are not on track to make your revenue goal for the year, look at where you may have fallen short so that you can use that short fall as a lesson learned for next year.  How can you turn this year’s revenue loss into next year’s revenue gain?  If you did make your goal, it is time to challenge yourself to level up to your next level.

3.Set Goals for Next Year. With this perspective of your activity this year, what goals will you set for yourself to grow your business financially for next year? Projecting how much you want to earn acts like a magnet that attracts clients, opportunities and business your way.  Having this exact number also motivates you to take action to make it happen. Take time to set your financial goal for next year and make a quarter over quarter plan to make it happen.  Matter of fact, post your financial goal for next year at your desk, on your bathroom mirror, in your car, wherever you think will keep you motivated and inspired to make it happen.  This is why vision boards are so popular because what you focus on you create.

4.Get Help. I notice that too many entrepreneurs try to do everything themselves.  You have to know when you have taken yourself as far as you can take yourself and then reach out to get the help you need to grow our business.  I know when I reached this point in my business is when I knew it was time for me to find a coach that was 10 steps ahead of me to help me find the blind spots in my business and to help me move my profit forward.

Your willingness to look at where you are on the way to where you really want to get to is the key to set yourself up to win NOW for 2018, yet so many miss this important step.  If you keep doing the same things you have been doing you will only get the same result and don’t you want MORE for 2018?   You will finish this year strong by looking at the journey you have had over the last year and creating strategy now for next year.
